Disney World Vacation ... Day 4

Day 4 ... Hollywood Studios
January 22, 2014

Once again, we got to the park right as it was opening.
(That was pretty much our plan everyday.)

First thing we did was set up our Fast Pass Plus for the day and then we went to the restaurant Hollywood & Vine to have breakfast with the Disney Junior characters.

During breakfast, the kids got to meet Special Agent Oso
(He's oh so special!)

Handy Manny

June from The Little Einsteins

And Alex's absolute favorite, Jake the Neverland Pirate!

Not only did the characters come around to each table for pictures & autographs, but they also danced & preformed a couple of songs about every 15 or 20 minutes. And we had front row table! I couldn't get Addy or Alex to get up & dance with them, but they both really enjoyed watching them live.
(Oh and by the way, the breakfast buffet at Hollywood & Vine was really good too. Way better than the one we had at Akershus in Epcot. This place is a must if your kids are into Disney Junior.)

After breakfast, it was time to go and explore the park on this freezing cold morning.

We walked over to Sunset Boulevard and checked out the Tower of Terror & the Rock n Roller Coaster. But we decided they were definitely too scary for Alex. And Addy, being the sweet sister that she is, didn't want to ride anything without him. So instead, we headed over to the Echo Lake area & rode the Star Wars ride.

After that, we watched Muppet Vision 3D.

And then we met Phineas & Ferb.

And Lightning McQueen & Mater from Cars.

After that, we went in the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground & let the kids run around & play for a while.

We got a quick bite to eat

And then used one of our fast passes to ride the Toy Story Midway Mania.

Then we met a Green Army Man from Toy Story

and Woody & Buzz Lightyear.

After that, we walked through Animation Gallery & saw some cool models of the parks. (The kids thought it was pretty cool to see the Dumbo ride & Goofy's Barnstormer since we had just ridden those the day before.)

And then we watched Disney Junior Live on Stage which was AWESOME!
Both kids absolutely loved it!
It was a puppet show that included the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse gang

Sophia the First & her friends

Doc McStuffins & her pals

 Jake & the Neverland Pirates

And even Sharky & Bones.

(My pictures from the show didn't turn out good because they ask you not to turn your flash on.)

When the show ended, Sophia the First was right outside, so the kids got to meet her.

And they got to see Jake one more time.

It was only about 4 oclock by that time, but we had pretty much done everything that we wanted to at Hollywood Studios.

So we decided to leave the park & go to the T Rex Restaurant at Downtown Disney for an early dinner.

There wasn't a whole lot for us to do at Hollywood Studios but what was there was awesome! Matter of fact, this ended up being Alex's favorite day. And I think mine too!

Disney World Vacation ... Day 3

Day 3 ... Magic Kingdom
January 21, 2014

On day 3 of our vacation, we headed to the most magical place on Earth, Disney's Magic Kingdom!

We got there shortly after opening & the first thing we did was set up our Fast Pass Plus so that we could ride Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin & Peter Pan's Flight later in the day.

And then it was time for rides!

We started with the Mad Tea Paty in Fantasyland.

After that we rode Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

This ride is awesome because it has a big area where the kids can play without losing your place in line!

Next was The Barnstormer

I was asked to hold this card in line so that I could help provide an accurate wait time for the ride. It made me feel pretty darn important, lol.

And then we went to Pete's Silly Sideshow where we met Daisy
(Alex was very worried about finding Daisy at the Magic Kingdom because she was the only Mickey character that we didn't meet at Epcot the day before.)

and saw Minnie again.

Then we went to Big Top Souvenirs so that Alex could get a pair of sunglasses.

They were so cool that I wanted to try them on too!

Next we rode The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

And then Prince Charming's Regal Carrousel.
It started raining while we were riding this.

And stopped raining as we were getting off.

The kids tried to pull the sword out of the stone.
Alex went first.

That way didn't work, so he tried another way.

He couldn't get it out so Addy decided to give it a try.

When that didn't work, she tried another way, lol!
But sadly, that didn't work either.

We were getting hungry & it was starting to rain some more (a cold front was coming in) so we ducked into Pinnocchio's Village Haus & ate lunch. And by the time we were done eating, the rain had completely stopped. So that worked out perfectly!

After lunch, we rode It's a Small World.

And then The Under the Sea Journey of the Little Mermaid.

Then we watched the 4D show Mickey's PhillarMagic. I thought this show was awesome! Probably one of my favorite things in all of the parks!

This girl loved it too! She kept trying to catch Donald Duck as he flew by.

After the show, we had just about ridden everything in Fantasyland, expect for Peter Pan's Flight which we had a fast pass to ride later & the Enchanted Tales with Belle that had a 60 minute wait time, so we headed over to Tomorrowland to use our Space Mountain fast pass.

Nick asked Alex if he was sure that he wanted to ride Space Mountain & he said yes. It's been 6 years since I last went to Disney World so I had honestly forgotten what Space Mountain was like, even forgotten that it was a roller coaster. But as it started & I realized that it was indeed a roller coaster, I knew Alex was not going to like it & I was right! He was sitting in front of me so I wrapped my arms around him & kept them there the whole time. Poor guy was screaming "Make it stop!" all throughout the ride. When the ride was finished, I asked him if he liked it & he said "I liked it but my stomach didn't!"

Addy on the other hand loved it & wanted to ride it again!

After that, we used another fast pass & rode
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.

And then we watched the show Stich's Great Escape.
(This scared Alex a little bit too.)

After that we ran back over to Fantasyland to use our fast pass to ride Peter Pan's Flight

and then went back to Tomorrowland to ride the Tomorrowland Speedway.

Alex and I were in the first car & Addy and Nick were in the car behind us. The cars were on a rail & could not pass one another. And because of that, Addy could not 'win' which really really upset her.

After that, we were done! We caught a little bit of the electrical parade as were leaving, but didn't stay to watch it all since it was already 7pm & we still had to catch the ferry back to the parking lot.

We had another long day at the Magic Kingdom, but I think you can tell from the look on this little girl's face that it was a fantastic day!
