Hoppy Easter 2017

Hoppy Easter everyone!

This year for Easter, we went to CiCi & PopPop's on Saturday.

While there, PopPop drove us over to Brooke's house on the golf cart

to visit her sheep.

Then we rode down to the farm at the end of mom & dad's road

and fed & pet their cows!

When we got back to mom & dad's, we ate lunch
& then the kids hunted for Easter eggs.

And Dash even found some!

Saturday night, the Easter Bunny came & left lots of goodies for the kids. Luckily, I remembered to leave a note letting him know we'd be at MawMaw & Granddaddy's for the night!

After the kids opened all their Easter gifts, we dyed eggs

ate lunch
and had another egg hunt.

It was a fun holiday weekend celebrating with our loved ones!

Happy Birthday A-Man

Alex turned 7 on March 11th.

The very first thing that he did when he woke up on his birthday was ask if he could open his presents. No big surprise there! Lol

His favorite present was a big o' pile of poop!

Since it was a Friday, he unfortunately had to spend his birthday at school. (Something this girl with a summer birthday never had to experience!)

Later that evening we went out to dinner for his birthday. We let him pick where he wanted to go & he chose Ninfa's. (Again, no surprise there! He loves his Mexican food, just like his mamma!) He kept telling everyone in the restaurant that it was his birthday & was so excited when the waiters sang to him.

The next day, we had a family party for him at our house.

We went with a Star Wars theme & Addy made all the cousins play party games, including musical chairs & a Pin the Antenna on BB8
that she whipped up that morning!

Here are a few pics from the day...

A few days later, he had another party, this time with his friends, at Stomping Grounds in Sugar Land. It's the same place we had his party last year, but he had so much fun that he wanted to have it there again.

He had a lot of fun running around with his friends & boy was he hot, sweaty & tired by the end of the party!

It was a great couple of days celebrating his birthday & he's already told me what he wants to do for next year's party. (He told me that he wants a surprise party. And it's a whole year away so he won't even remember that he told me he wants one & so he'll still be surprised! Lol)

And to close out this post, here are a few things about my sweet sweet boy...

Merry Christmas 2015

Just as always, we had a wonderful Christmas.

Luckily, I left my phone in the living room on Christmas Eve night & was able to capture a video of Santa dropping off a few gifts for the kids.

And another one of him eating the cookies that Addy & Alex left for him :)

As you can see, the kids were super excited when they woke up in the morning!

We spent all morning opening & playing with gifts.

Addy got a furby that she just loves! She already knew exactly how to interact with it, including singing & rocking it to sleep.

Dash, on the other hand, was not a fan of the furby. He kept smelling it & barking at it! Lol

A little later that afternoon, we drove back home to spend Christmas with my family.

I just love when we all get together. There's like a million of us & it's so loud & crazy! But again, I just LOVE it!

On the 26th, we celebrated Christmas with the Stricklands.

And Mr. & Mrs. Tackett :)

All the Strickland girls (plus one Tackett)

and all the Strickland boys (plus one Tackett)

And our crazy little family!
(AKA my favorite people & dog in the world!!!)

The next day, the 27th, we went to my aunt's house to celebrate Christmas with the Roeders.

It was great to see my PawPaw.

And my aunts & uncle & cousins.

And to see my kids playing with my cousin's kids the same way we used to play at their age.

And also to get to see my mini me again :)

We had a great few days visiting with all our family.
And as I said before, it was a wonderful Christmas!  We are truly blessed!
