Santa's Cookie College

On Sunday, December 14th, Addy went to a fun Girl Scout event called Santa's Cookie College.

Girl Scout cookies go on sale next week (who wants to buy some?!?) so they started this event by refreshing the girls on what cookies they'll be selling & to remind them of selling safety and etiquette. 

And once they completed their badge work, they had some Christmas fun!

They made a Christmas sign.

And they accessorized mittens with beautiful bows.

Then they decorated cookies

and took pictures with Santa!

At the end of the event, they had all the girls come together & make their Girl Scout closing circles around Santa. 

Addy had such a great time at this event. And so did I! I thought it was really well done & as a leader, I loved it because the girls earned both their cookie business badges!

Christmas Morning

We left my mom & dad's house around 4:00 pm on Christmas Eve so that we could make it home in time for Addy & Alex to open their Christmas presents from us.

Alex insisted on changing into his new Thomas the Train dress up clothes before opening his presents.

But Addy was ready to dig in!

Once all the presents had been opened, we let the kids play for a little while (and by play I mean make a giant mess)

 & then it was time for bed so that Santa Claus could come.

Santa had a very specific request from Addy. She wanted a pink polka dotted elephant, just like the one on Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Well, Santa had a hard time finding a pink polka dotted elephant, but luckily his little elves were able to make one!

Addy woke up first on Christmas morning.

Then she went & woke Alex up so he could see what Santa brought.

All Alex wanted Santa to bring him was a big brown car that he could drive on the street. Santa couldn't find a brown one, but he did find this awesome red one & Alex loves it!

Santa also brought the kids this giant triceratops that growls & roars.

As soon as it was light enough, we went outside & let Alex ride around in his new car.

 And Addy ride her scooter.

"Hop in Addy, I'll give you a ride!"

I think Santa did good!

School Christmas Party

Addy's school Christmas party was the Friday before Christmas. Here are a few pictures that I took with my phone during the party.

The kids kicked off the party by singing Jingle Bell Rock.

 

 

 Then Addy & her classmates enjoyed a few fun Christmas activities.

They made Rudolph ornaments from popsicle sticks.

They decorated ice cream cones like Christmas trees.

(Same thing we did at our GS Christmas party.)

And they played Christmas bingo.

Oh & Santa stopped by too!

 Addy had a lot of fun at the party & it was a great way to end the first semester of the school year! I'm excited to see what the next semester has in store for my baby girl!
