Easter 2015

This year Easter was on April 5th.

But we celebrated at my parents' house on the 4th.

Mom & Dad had a memorial service to go to that afternoon so we had an Easter breakfast

with a yummy spread of food!

And the kids had bunny pancakes.

They turned out really cute!

After breakfast, the kids went outside & threw confetti eggs at each other.
They even threw some at Nick!

Sweet little Emery just wanted to play with the eggshells though.

And then they all hunted Easter eggs.

Well except for Hannah. She helped hide them.

And this guy showed up at Mom & Dad's too!

We left Mom & Dad's & went to Brooke's house for a little bit & the kids had a blast playing with their cousins!

Then we went back to Nick's parent's house & stayed the night there.
And luckily the Easter Bunny was able to track us down so that he could fill up the kids' Easter baskets!

He left them lots of good stuff.

And they loved it all!

Addy wanted pancakes for breakfast again, so I made these for her.

And then we had hamburgers for lunch.
It was raining outside so the kids & their cousins hunted eggs inside the house.
(But I guess I didn't get any pictures of any of that. Oh well!)

It was a nice Easter weekend with the all the family!

SOE School Carnival 2015

On March 27th, the kids' school had its annual school carnival & movie night.

The carnival was a lot of fun!
There were blow up slides

and bouncy houses.

A train.

A bungee trampoline.

And the wrecking ball.
Which swung from side to side while spinning.
Addy absolutely loved it!

Alex did not!

When the carnival ended, we met up with Alex's friend & her family

& laid out our blankets on the playground

and watched Big Hero 6.

It was a super fun night for the kids & something that they look forward to every year!

Happy 6th Birthday Alex

On March 11th, my BABY BOY turned 6 years old!

Here are some of the things that my big 6 year old likes...
(I like how he said he likes to make me & Nick buy him stuff! That could not be more true!!!)

A-Man was pretty lucky this year; he got to celebrate his 6th birthday, not once, not twice, but 3 times! (He says next year, let's make it 4!)

The weekend before his birthday,
we had his first party in Lumberton with all our family.

We ate pizza

and played outside.

And then it was time for the birthday festivities!

We all sang Happy Birthday to Alex & ate cookie cake.

He opened his presents.

And then the kids played

Pin the Eye on the Monster

and made paper monsters.

They all turned out so cute!

On Alex's actual birthday, Nick was out of town for work so the kids & I celebrated, just the 3 of us.
Alex opened his presents from us in the morning & then he got to plan what we would do for the rest of the day.

Which included going to the movies to see the Spongebob movie & then going to Chuck E Cheese.

And the weekend after his birthday, Alex had his last party, which was a friends party at an indoor playground called Stomping Grounds.

Lots of friends from school came.

And even his teacher made an appearance!

He had such a great time & was totally exhausted after the party from playing so hard!
