Sometimes I feel like I clean & clean & still my house is not clean. I seem to keep up with the daily things that need to be done, but I always seem to fall behind in the deep cleaning. I've seen several pins on Pinterest about how to keep up with the deep cleaning & so I decided to make myself a chart. I went from room to room & wrote down what needs to be done. And then I made a table of 28 days & have one chore for each day. I only did 28 because February only has 28 days (except for this year) & on the other months I'll be able to have 2 or 3 days off, yay!
I started this in February & overall it was a success! Now trust me, I didn't stick to it like I had planned to, to clean one thing everyday. Sometimes (mostly the weekends) I would skip a day or three but then I would jump right back in & clean 2 or 3 things in a day. I finished the last item on the list on March 1st, so I was one day behind. But oh well, I got every item on my cleaning list completed & my house is probably cleaner than it has been in the 3 years that we've lived here! For sure, it's a lot less dustier! I'll be honest with you, I haven't ever cleaned the outside of my front door before. But I took some pledge to it & wow, what a difference it made! Oh & my fake plants, wow were those things dusty! And my blinds, I think I may have cleaned them once or maybe twice since we've lived here, but now I'll be dusting them once a month!
And so now, it's March 3rd & I have completed the first 3 things on my list (I cleaned them all yesterday so that I could take today off, lol.) Hopefully I can keep this going because a clean house makes me a happy momma!
