Happy 4th of July

Today was the 4th of July. We celebrated our nation's independence at Nick's brother's house.

We swam.

We ate lots of yummy food including chips & dips

and hot dogs!

And we hung out & enjoyed each other's company!

We left Wayne & Tracey's house around 6 o'oclock and headed back to Nick's parents' house.

And then it was time for fireworks!

The sparklers I bought were mostly duds. But we did get a few to work.

After the kids went to sleep, Nick & I went outside & watched all the fireworks around the neighborhood.

The people who live in Westwood in Lumberton really put on a show! It rivals downtown Beaumont & basically lasts ALL night long! Here are a few pics I got.
