On April 22nd, Alex's Kindergarten class went on a field trip to the Bayou Wildlife Park in Alvin.
This was the first time for Alex to go to the Bayou Wildlife Park. But I have been there twice with Addy on both her Kindergarten field trips.

The kids were paired up & Alex's buddy for the day was Dylan L.
The school bus got to the park with the kids around 10am & since that is their usual lunch time (yes, I know, it's super early for lunch!!!) they were starving! So we tried to eat lunch right away. But, we ran into a bit of a problem... the deer!
So instead, the boys had a quick snack & we rode the animal tram.
This was definitely the highlight of the day for most of the kids.
On the tram ride, the kids got to see & feed lots of exotic animals, including...
antelopes
llamas
water buffalos
zebras
ostriches
a longhorn
and camels
But Alex's favorite part of the ride was when we went down a hill because it was like a roller coaster ride. (But not like the space mountain roller coaster, because we all know how much he liked that, right!)
I have to say that Alex is definitely not Addy. This was not the place for him. While Addy loves to be outside & look at & learn about animals, Alex does not. He was hot & bored during the tram ride (except for the roller coaster hill part!)
But what he did enjoy during the field trip was hanging out with his friends!
The Bayou Wildlife Park is really a pretty cool place. But I'm fairly sure that neither Alex nor I would be sad if we never go again! (3 times is enough for me!)
