Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was almost 3 weeks ago.
(But at least I've got this post written before Christmas, right!)

Nick & I ran the Turkey Trot 5K on Thanksgiving morning.

Nick & me (and Flat Stanley) before the run

Super proud of my chip time. I think it's my best one to date!

2nd place age range! What What!

After the Turkey Trot, we celebrated Thanksgiving with Nick's family.

3 generations of Strickland men

Flat Stanley ate lunch with us.

Cousins (but don't they look like they could be sisters!)

After lunch, Nick had to head home so that he would be well rested for Black Friday. The kids & I stayed the weekend & on Saturday, we went to my parents' house to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Hannah drove the kids around on PopPop's tractor. It was too loud for Alex :(

Chloe & Boone

Charlie

Clark

Instead of having a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, we ate my dad's famous gumbo (if you've tasted it, you know why it's famous!) and backstrap from a deer he killed. Yum Yum Yum!

The kids had a lot of fun playing with their cousins & were sad when it was time to leave & head home to Houston. We had a great Thanksgiving holiday weekend but boy was I glad to get home & sleep in my own bed!
