Here's what our morning consisted of...
Run on the beachwalk
Starbucks
Breakfast at our hotel
& then we took The Bus to Pearl Harbor
I don't even know what to say about Pearl Harbor. It was beautiful & interesting & as you watch the movies & listen to the survivors tell their stories you could "feel" the sacrifice that these men made for our country. It was definitely a deeply moving experience & if you ever go to Hawaii, Pearl Harbor is one place that you don't want to miss!
This is the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial. It sits in the water over the sunken ship & you have to take a boat out to it.

We left Pearl Harbor & took The Bus over to Ala Moana shopping center to have lunch & look around.
Then we took a trolley back to Waikiki & did a little shopping.
First we went to the International Marketplace. It's a huge place full of shops & kiosks under a great big banyan tree.

Then we went over to King's Villa shopping center.
This was an awesome little restaurant/store that we found in King's Villa. It is full of 50's & 60's memorabilia. Nick & I split a King Kong banana split with macadian nut ice cream. It was DELICIOUS!
And then we ended our night by having a fabulous fish dinner at
Duke's Canoe Club!
